You will be the member of an agile multidisciplinary DevOps team (IT, product management, marketing) that runs and innovates a homegrown cloud-based solution for multi-channel marketing personalization, using Machine Learning. We have built an integration with a 3rd party platform, to enable real-time personalised marketing in our shop (web and app). We are now looking into extending this solution within the shop, as well as in email and app push messaging, using the existing 3rd party integrations for email and app push delivery. Next to that we are introducing event-driven principles to our landscape. This will allow us to maintain a (near) real-time customer profile, including behavioural data, and quickly release new or changed marketing messages (like instant change of a discount percentage).
Duties vary from investigating user stories, incidents, being Engineer-on-Duty, to simply writing high quality code.
Skillset:
- Kotlin and/or Java
- Spring (we have our own abstraction layer)
- SQL (preferably Google BigQuery)
- Python (is a plus)
- Streaming (is a plus, e.g. Kafka)
- Google Dataflow, PubSub
- Apache datapipeline orchestration tools (preferably Airflow)
- Cloud Platforms (preferably Google, we have our own IaaS layer)
- K8S (preferably GKE)
- Docker
- CI/CD (preferably Github)
- Test-driven design, automated testing

Education:
Computer science at BSc or MSc level, or comparable (e.g. Artifical Intelligence, Physics, Electrical engineering with additional training).
